How to get married on an island with an active volcano…

A Hawaiian island with an active volcano…

How about having an Island Destination Wedding by an active volcano in Hawaii?  Which island would you visit?

Each of the Hawaiian Islands is unique in its topography and it legendary beauty. Formed from ancient volcanoes, each is one of a kind and all are considered to be among the most diverse and awe inspiring islands on the planet.

Hawaii (The Big Island) is the largest and youngest of the islands in the Hawaiian archipelago.  It’s also the only Hawaiian island with an active volcano.  Three volcanoes have shaped the island. Mauna Kea being the largest volcano in the world measuring  over 33,000 feet from its subterranean base, or nearly 14,000 from sea level. This island is larger than all of the other islands combined, with snow-capped mountains in the winter and 80 degree temperatures on its beaches. The windward (north) side of the island is enveloped with rich tropical rain forests, stunning waterfalls and the second largest city in Hawaii, Hilo. While the south side of the island, the Kona Coast is dryer with geologically recent lava flows. The size of the island and its diversity in climates and elevations provides of wealth of choices for accommodations. The Kona Coast is most frequented by visitors. It has the most night life in Kailua Town and hotels in the surrounding area. Distances between populated areas on the island can be significant and several hours should be planned for exploring each region of the island.
